What Happens When You Fly In for a Smile Makeover

Everything you need to know about flying to Marbella for a smile makeover - the process, the timeline, and what you leave with.

A significant number of our patients travel internationally for their smile makeovers. They fly in from London, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Zurich, Dubai, and beyond. Some come because they were referred by someone who had their own smile done with us. Others come because they researched extensively and concluded that the material and laboratory capabilities at ACE DNTL are not available in their home city.

Whatever the reason, the process for international patients is designed to be seamless, efficient, and respectful of your time. Here is exactly what to expect.

The journey begins with a virtual consultation. We conduct an initial assessment via video call - this is not a sales call. It is a clinical conversation. We review photographs and any existing dental records. We discuss what you are hoping to achieve. And we are honest about whether your goals are realistic and whether we are the right practice for your case.

If we proceed, we schedule your first visit to Marbella. This visit typically lasts three to four days. On the first day, we conduct a comprehensive clinical examination - digital scans, photographs, X-rays, and a detailed facial analysis. We discuss the treatment plan in full. No treatment begins on this visit unless the case is straightforward and the plan is already clear.

For complex cases - and most smile makeovers are complex - we use the data from the first visit to develop a detailed treatment plan. Our laboratory creates a diagnostic wax-up or digital design. We share this with you for approval before scheduling the next phase.

The second visit is where the preparation and impression work happens. This is typically a two-to-three day visit. Teeth are prepared. Final impressions or scans are taken. Provisional veneers are placed so you leave with a functional, aesthetic result while your permanent veneers are crafted.

The final visit - usually two to three weeks later - is for placement. Your permanent veneers are tried in, adjusted if necessary, and bonded. This visit typically requires two days. By the end, you are leaving Marbella with your final result.

Throughout this process, our patient coordinator manages every logistical detail. We can recommend accommodation. We coordinate appointment schedules to maximise your time. We ensure that every visit is planned with precision so that nothing is wasted - your time least of all.

The total time invested is typically seven to ten days across three visits, spread over four to six weeks. Some patients combine their visits with time on the Costa del Sol - there are worse places to recover from dental appointments.

International patients often ask whether the travel is worth it. Our answer is always the same: if the result matters to you - if you want a smile makeover that is crafted with materials and expertise that are genuinely exceptional - then yes. You cannot get this result by choosing the most convenient option. You get it by choosing the best one.

We are here to make the process as effortless as possible. The only thing you need to bring is the decision that you are ready to do this properly.
